Graduate Building Surveyor

Long established and highly reputable multi disciplinary consultancy based in Surrey is looking for a hungry and ambitious Graduate Building Surveyor to join their team.
Our Client: Multi disciplinary practice who take pride in their industry expertise and excellent client care.
Typical Projects: Public Sector, Commercial, Residential, Education and Heritage.
Company Headcount: 15 - 20
Role of the Graduate Building Surveyor:
- Manage minor projects under supervision of Building Surveyor or senior member of staff
- Undertake measured surveys and plot existing and proposed plans
- Prepare tender documents, working drawings, specifications, H&S risk assessments and schedules of work under supervision
- Evaluate tenders and assist in production of tender reports
- Co-ordinate design information with other consultants and other members of staff
- Assist Building Surveyors and senior members of staff with contract management of projects and on site
- Attend site and client meetings and produce minutes
Requirements of the Graduate Building Surveyor:
- A degree in Building Surveying from a university recognised by the RICS
- Recent post-graduate experience in a similar role (circa 0-18 months' experience)
- Recent experience of managing small projects (preferred)
- Display knowledge and appreciation of building construction and be able to draw detailed clear and tidy hand sketches for the purposes of identifying current and proposed construction.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
