Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Inventor/Vault - Career Progression - Overseas Travel - circa £45,000.00

**Firmly established as one of the World's leading manufacturers and suppliers of Specialist Sub Sea equipment. Our client manufactures specialist marine equipment supplied across multiple continents (inc. Europe, Asia and the Americas).
**Your new role**
Due to strategic growth we are looking for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer/ Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Engineering Team for our client. The Senior Design Engineer is responsible to lead the Design Team's daily and strategic activities, supportingvarious project lifecycles from concept to commissioning. The position will require the person to be able to liaise with all the departments within the business.
**General Duties**:

- Senior member of the internal Design Team
- Responsible for the implementation and control of workload schedules and capacity planning model
- Communicate and liaise with customers and suppliers to determine technical requirements
- Interpret customer specifications into internal production control documentation
- Responsible for the generation of company processes and procedures
- Design control and calculations in compliance with BSI, Lloyds, IMCA, and DNV Regulations
- Technical authority for Design signoffs from team members
- Supporting Management and the Sales Team with schedules and costings to support quotations
- Generation of FMECA & Risk Control documentation
- Ensure drawing and document revision control using the Autodesk Vault system
- Creation of BoMs for fabrication sub-assemblies and mechanical and electrical assemblies
- Creation and control of detailed User Manuals
- Production of schematics for electrical and pneumatic routings
- Training and development of team members
- Research and implementation of new products
- Support Manufacturing through FATs and Customer sign off procedures

**Requirements**:

- Degree qualified
- Experience as a Senior Design Engineer position
- Knowledge of Autodesk, AutoCAD & Inventor 2D & 3D to produce mechanical and electrical fit outs and sub-assembly documentation
- Good communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced industry
- Project Compliance review experience
- Experience in cost reduction and LEAN manufacturing practices
- Excellent communication skills; high level of verbal and written English.
- Full, Clean UK Diving Licence
