Production Supervisor

POSITION

The Timber Production Supervisor coordinates the department, working closely with team members and all other departmental Supervisors. Organising workload for the week ahead is essential to identify production issues before they arise, maximising throughput whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality and health and safety. Training new staff and diversifying skills within the department are fundamental to ensure resilience and succession planning of the team. Continuous Improvement is essential to minimise delays and Increase efficiency.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maximise throughput and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Scheduling for the weeks ahead, including manning levels
- Training employees to diversify skills in department, enabling departmental flexibility and competency
- Ensure all equipment is safe for use
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
- Increase efficiency of department
- Corrective/Preventive action - work with all departments to prevent wasted/down time
- Ensure maintenance is carried out correctly and on time
- Ensure Health and Safety practices are observed
- Complete all cutting lists in the absence of the Factory Scheduler
- When they are absent cover the responsibilities of Veneer, Press and Lipping Team Leaders.
- Any other reasonable duties that might be needed from time to time to assist the company in attaining its business objectives.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
