**Job Description**:
The following duties are required to be performed by the employee but other duties may be assigned.
Work with the Global Training (GT) Team to set competencies for each Course Curriculum and design and create multilevel hybrid and in-person global training courses for employees and authorized distributors.
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Global Training, Product Management, Customer Support, Global Marketing, and other departments where relevant, to collect relevant resources, then design and create training programs to support the selling of all Topcon devices and related clinical topics, aimed at staff and distributors.
Work with the subsidiary managers, particularly those in the EMEA, to customize courses and materials where required, to meet the training needs of each subsidiary.
Design and develop instructional material for end user training that supports company products, branding and initiatives.
Provide device-related hands-on training, prepare and deliver relevant clinical, sales and research-related presentations across the whole Topcon device and software portfolio.
Work with the GT Team to design, deliver and lead instructor-led courses for staff and distributors around the world, covering the full range of Topcon devices, how to position and sell the devices, and related clinical/research topics. This may include virtual training in different time zones, requiring early morning or evening work on occasions.
Support Key Opinion Leaders to develop engaging, clinical end user education for Topcon Healthcare University.
Contribute to GT Team meetings, presenting and sharing knowledge and ideas with the team
Deliver end user training at certain Topcon events (workshops and presentations)
Support sales team at trade shows and other relevant events (as required)
Perform other related duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- Proven track record in training, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Clinically trained (optometrist, orthoptist, optician, ophthalmic technician, or other)
- Good clinical knowledge across optometry and ophthalmology. Ideally with dry eye and imaging experience.
- Experience of using and interpreting OCT a plus
- Experience reading and analyzing research papers a plus
- Independent traveler, ideally with experience of significant work-related travel
- Comfortable with public speaking/giving engaging presentations to big groups
- MS Office proficiency, especially PowerPoint
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple parallel assignments and prioritize
- Attention to detail/accuracy is critical
- Self-motivated, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to interact with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to work independently / self-manage
- Ability to think proactively and plan and execute resourcefully
- Knowledge of an additional language a plus
- Experience of using a wide range of Topcon devices a plus
