Are you passionate about marine life and the underwater world? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of aquatic ecosystems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you The Lakes Aquarium is seeking a skilled and dedicated Aquarist to join our team and help us maintain our stunning aquatic exhibits.

Located at the Southern tip of Lake Windermere in the Lake District, the aquarium is home to a wide variety of species including fish, reptiles, mammals and invertebrates.

This includes:

- Maintaining accurate records of animal health, behaviour, and noteworthy observations
- Participate in the development and implementation of enrichment programs
- Ensuring all zoo licence regulations and BIAZA guidelines are adhered to and that related administration duties are fulfilled
- Striving to provide the highest possible standards of guest satisfaction, animal welfare and husbandry at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aquarium systems and equipment.
- Engaging and educating visitors by providing information and tours about the exhibits and answering questions

This is an hourly paid (£11 per hour) position and includes weekend and bank holiday working, as well as covering ‘on call’ duties.
