**Senior Caretaker**

We are looking for a Senior Caretaker to join our team and to look after our Grade 1 listed building in Surbiton. Located in beautiful grounds, just a two-minute walk from Surbiton Station; we are looking for a motivated, positive individual who can take ownership and accountability for the site and its maintenance.

**The Job**

To work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, responsible for the site and acting as the first point for First Aid and being the Chief Fire Marshal for the site. To manage contractors on site and to work closely with the Estates Team Leader whom you will report into. You may also be required to work from our Parkshot Campus on occasions and may include some weekend work.

**The Duties**
- To work as the Senior Caretaker for the Hillcroft Campus primarily, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our learners.
- To provide cover for the Caretaking Team Leader at the Parkshot Campus when required.
- To open the College premises at the scheduled time to allow staff, learners and visitors to enter the premises.
- To deliver a timely, high-quality service in order to support the work of the College in meeting the needs of learners, staff and other clients. E.g., appropriate and timely room layout for classes, events etc.
- To monitor and respond to request logged on the Estates Help Desk system.
- To understand customer needs and provide the highest levels of customer service to internal and external parties. Timely responses to requests.
- To manage deliveries.
- To manage the Hillcroft to ensure that issues are reported and resolved in a timely fashion as to not impede the college operations.
- To effectively co-ordinate with other internal teams e.g., IT and Learner Services teams.
- To liaise with and monitor the work of contractors as required. Please note - we have onsite contract cleaning at Hillcroft.

- Good knowledge and experience of caretaking in a similar organisation.
- Self-starter, motivated and committed.
- Excellent customer service.
- Able to work under own initiative and interdependently, as well as working as part of a wider team.
- To ensure the effective and efficient site management of the Hillcroft campus.
- Able to work collaboratively across department and with manage contractors effectively.
