**Job Summary**

Playfair Partnerships provides specialist financial control and business advice to directors and owners of private companies. We offer an integrated outsourced solution and work closely with individual businesses, becoming part of their team.

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our business and assist the partners with a client in Battersea. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will thrive in a fast-paced and diverse environment. The successful applicant can be trained in all aspects of our work and company ethos, however would be expected to have significnat experience in most aspects of the job.

**Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities**

The workload will vary widely, but could include the following:

- Payroll
- Subcontractor processing
- Purchase Ledger
- Sales Ledger
- CIS Returns
- VAT Returns
- HMRC surveys

**Job Type / Category**

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- Excellent standard of computer literacy - experience with MS Office is essential
- Sage experience would be beneficial
- Ability to pick up new software easily
- Experience with construction clients and the tasks required
- Attention to detail with a quality focus
- Aptitude for numeracy and analysis
- Efficient processing speed to allow for all task to be undertaken on a weekly basis
- Comfortable working in a client facing role and with all levels of seniority
- Enthusiasm and assertiveness for working through problematic situations
- Team player comfortable taking direction and guidance
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both verbal and written
- Willing to use initiative to resolve problems and identify improvements
- Strong character able to work in a dynamic environment
- Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change

**Benefits**

25 days per year holiday plus bank holidays (pro rated)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 7.5 per week

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Battersea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
- Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: One location
