**Laboratory Assistant**
**Contract Position**
First Call Contract Services are looking to recruit a Degree Educated Laboratory Assistant for our client operations based in Bracknell, RG42.
This exciting role will suit a recent graduate.
The purpose of the role is to assist in the research and development laboratory and support projects and manufacturing processes, also to interpret data and present results in consultation with their manager.
This role is being recruited for in Bracknell, RG42.
**Role Summary and Responsibilities**:
- Plan and carry out experimental work programmes.
- Assess the acceptability of experimental results.
- Record all laboratory work appropriately and compile results for inclusion in final reports.
- Follow appropriate procedures to ensure work is carried out safely and effectively.
- Carry out work to the requirements of ISO9001.
- Perform basic troubleshooting activities in cases where laboratory equipment malfunctions.
- Educated to degree level in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or a science apprenticeship.
- HS&E knowledge.
- Familiar with literature searching and the use of library information systems.
- Ability to work in multi-functional groups, primarily within PHS and T&E.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. Hours of work can be discussed around public transport or other commitments.
Starting salary £13.50P/H + company benefits.
This role is being recruited for on a contract basis.
