Industrial Sewing Machinist

**Overview**
To work alongside the Upholstery Manager, sewing fabric to be fitted to items of furniture.
**Responsibilities**
Whilst no job description will ever completely list all aspects of the role, the following notes give guidance: (All ØRN sites of operation within the UK)
- Experienced in the use of industrial sewing machines.
- Competent understanding of sewing techniques e.g. piping, twin needling, and top stitching.
- Ability to work in collaboration with upholstery team to achieve required quality of finish.
- Able to sew with a wide variety of commercial fabric types.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve sewing related issues.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- A flexible attitude to learn new skills and ways of working.
**Specific Skills and Experience**
**Essential**
- Experienced and confident in using industrial sewing machines.
- Excellent communication and inter personals skills.
- High levels of resilience - proven ability to work under pressure.
- The ability to build effective relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving ability - prepared to ‘think outside of the box’ to find solutions to satisfy both the customer and ØRN (Int) Ltd.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently and with other members of the team.
- Able to work within set targets and tight deadlines.
**Desirable**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
