Are you looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Emergency Planning Service at Liverpool University Hospitals. We are seeking to recruit a proactive, innovative, and effective individual to the EPRR Practitioner post within our team.

The post holder will work alongside the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Manager to support the delivery of the EPRR service across the trust. The role of the EPRR Practitioner is to assist in delivering the EPRR Strategy within a governance framework, including emergency preparedness and business continuity planning, training and response requirements. The role is wide and varied and involves working with a range of teams across three hospital sites.

The aim of the EPRR Strategy is to prepare for and deliver an effective emergency response across a range of potential emergency situations. The vision of the service is to provide a best quality and resilient service for a substantial acute Trust including a major trauma centre.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.

This post supports the Trust Emergency Preparedness, Resilience & Response Manager in the delivery of the organisation’s Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Service including compliance to relevant legislation and national guidance.
The post holder will as necessary lead in identified aspects of the EPRR service.

**Key responsibilities**:
Formulate and complete actions to support compliance with statutory obligations and national guidance including NHSE EPRR Core Standards.

Assist in the development and testing of emergency and business continuity plans.

Review emergency plans to reflect changes in structures, estates, practice and lessons learned.

Support trust wide staff to deliver an effective incident response including training provision.

Maintain accurate records of meetings, training and incidents.
