About the role
Every summer, since 1993 the doors of Buckingham Palace's glorious State Rooms have been opened to the public for hundreds of thousands of people to come and visit. Joining our outstanding and friendly Retail team, you'll make their experience special.
We look forward to welcoming visitors again in 2023, and in the year of The King's coronation you’ll have the opportunity to join the team who help millions enjoy the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace.
As a Retail Team Leader, you'll support the wider Retail management team to ensure our Retail Assistants have the guidance and support to advise on and promote the products we have on offer.
Every day, you'll engage the team in briefings, answer questions, train, coach, inspire them to maximise sales and drive the business.
**What you’ll be doing**:

- Direct supervision of a team of Retail Assistants in one of our shops
- Running training, performance reviews and daily briefings for your team
- Motivate and support your team to upsell products and meet sales targets
- Act as a point of escalation for issues that arise in the day-to-day operation
- Provide excellent customer service, always maintaining a friendly and professional manner
- Provide support to the Retail management team

About you
**What you’ll bring**:

- Supervisory experience, ability to lead and motivate a team
- Experience working in busy and target focused retail team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good numeracy and computer literacy
- Resilience and the ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
