The purpose of the Director of IT UK&I is to provide leadership, vision and management to the IT function of for the UK&I Business Unit. It includes Strategy, Applications Portfolio, Application Support, Data Management, Budgets, KPIs and managing 3rd PartyContractors working closely with all lines of business and working as a key member of the wider European IT Team.

Member of UK&I board of Director, you are strongly involved in designing the local IT strategy, and actively participating in business growth and transformation/improvement projects.

**Description**

IT Director - UK&I - Director of IT and Projects role

Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:

- Be at the forefront of innovation to ensure delivery of Best in Class solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders (UK&I Executive Committee, Sales, Operations) to ensure alignment with strategy, branding, functional plans, revenue objectives, and user needs
- Work in partnership with Line of Business communities to drive best practices and tool commonalities
- Ensure continuous improvement of all IT policies and procedures
- To champion the delivery of a 1st Class IT experience to our customers and colleagues
- Programme Management of UK&I projects and delivery
- Drive projects and tasks to completion through teams, regardless of changing conditions, by proactively identifying potential roadblocks and collaborating with peers from business, operations, and engineering partners
- Develop and measure key performance indicators to meet the needs of the business
- To support the on-going development of the Applications Portfolio ensuring the best solutions are available to our customers and operations both now and in the future
- In tight collaboration with Global/EU Product teams, drive Application rationalisation and system commonalities across the area of responsibility
- Ensure the IT function contributes to business changes, proactively supporting new business implementations and Operational improvements
- Actively participate in Customer tender process - putting the digital innovation at the heart of the Value add proposed to our customers
- Work closely with Procurement and other IT functions in the Group to ensure the best service is provided within budget at all times
- Road map planning and budget management
- Responsible for the development of direct reports
- Report / Dashboard the activity/ projects of your team

Team Size & Budget:
15+ plus contractors and Offshore development team

Circa £10m budget

The successful IT Director will work with a range of internal senior stakeholders, customers, external providers,, EU colleagues.

**Profile**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; report findings and requirements into easy-to-understand analyses
- Proven ability to deliver automated, scalable analytics and operating systems in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment while managing multiple projects and responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities internally and externally
- Extreme attention to detail that drives one to self-audit work and understand complex systems
- Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading and has the ability to "roll up their sleeves" and jump in if needed, along with managing
- You will be of graduate calibre, able to demonstrate experience in a similar role
- Experience within the Logistics Industry
- Practised in managing complex IT projects, preferably in a logistics environment
- Experience ideally gained in a large EU/Global multi -site environment
- Experience of managing multi-skilled teams
- Mastering the concepts of Agile will be expected.

**Job Offer**
