Metal Fabricator

Due to a planned operation we have a vacancy to cover the sickness period.
Duties will include:
Perform metal fabrication duties including welding (although we do have a welder that would be completing the welding on an item), fabricating, and assembling metal components
- Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of metal pieces
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and smooth metal surfaces
- Operate welding equipment
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished products by conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications

- Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role
- Proficient in welding techniques and able to operate welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes
- Familiarity with sheet metal and ability to work with different types of metals
- Basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and shaping metal pieces accurately
- Ability to read drawings, and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Full-time
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
