Lovely family in Shinfield are looking for a permanent, warm, reliable, responsible and firm but fair nanny to look after their 5 children. The children are 13, 11, 6, 4 and 6 months. They are looking for someone to start in January but are willing to wait for the right person.

Due to the ages of the children and school attendance, the majority of the day will be focused on the youngest (6 months)

Duties will be preparing meals, school drop offs and pick ups, light housekeeping relating to the children including their laundry, changing bedsheets weekly, ensuring that the children’s playroom and relevant areas in the house that are used by the children are tidied away each day and clean, tidying up after meals, (the elder children are expected to assist with tidying up), attending playgroups or relevant baby activity/classes with the youngest, helping with homework and ensuring daily reading takes place and assisting with bath time for the youngest children.

Other ad hoc duties to include taking the children to their swimming, football and other relevant extracurricular activities during the week. When relevant, taking the children for haircuts, to purchase new school shoes, uniform or equipment, taking the children to the dentist or doctor when required, assisting with school admin and ensuring the parents are aware of any school events, meetings they need to be. There may be some travel with the family where necessary during your working hours.

Qualifications are not necessary however experience, particularly caring for more than 2 children at once, is desired. The salary for this position is £29,000 per annum with 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. A driver with a full, clean licence is necessary and a nanny car is available for use during working hours.

Unfortunately, this position would not suit a nanny with their own child.

The family has one cat in the home.
