Compliance and Purchasing Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Purchasing Administrator to join a company in Leighton Buzzard. The working hours are 9:00am-5:00pm.

**Please note: This role is fully office based and there is not remote working.**

The main purpose of the role would be to provide administrative support to both the Compliance Manager and Purchasing Manager.

Please see below the main responsibilities the role will include:
**Compliance**
- Maintain food safety files including training records, ingredients database and working procedures.
- Carry out routine checks to ensure all food safety records are being correctly completed at the right time and report back to the compliance manager any concerns.
- Check all members of staff are observing the correct clothing and food safety procedures and advise the Compliance Manager of any concerns.
- Quarterly audits across all 3 sites, report findings back to management and implement changes.
- Arrange training when required and maintain training records.

**Please note**:Training will be provided to ensure the job holder has a comprehensive understanding of SALSA food safety standards.

**Purchasing**
- Raise purchase orders.
- Check purchase order acknowledgements.
- Record goods received.
- Progressing outstanding orders and any issues to the purchasing manager.
- Obtaining prices from suppliers.
- Liaising with the accounts team for invoice queries.
- Dealing with supplier queries.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience as a buying administrator or compliance administrator would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Driving Licence.
