**About the Role**

**Who You Are**

Confidence, friendly personality and good communication skills are fundamental for this role, as well as the ability to build relationships with people both in person and over online video meetings. You must equally be comfortable liaising with site-based personnel and directors at head office.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Attend start-up meetings with production team to agree on strategy, content and actions
- Work with bid managers, directors or project managers to assign responsibilities for technical responses
- Provide written content before tenders arrive
- Support your colleagues in the proposals team at critical deadlines
- Support others to peer review content
- Help others grow and develop, carrying out mentoring and support

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Experience and/or understanding of the cleaning industry (preferred)
- Specific knowledge of Bid Writer roles and responsibilities in general or within cleaning industry
- Experience of public sector bids is essential with private sector bid experience being beneficial
- Evidence of having produced written content for successful bids or provide written samples of previous written bids
- Skilled in conducting deep research and effective questioning techniques
- Ability to mentor and develop other writers is essential
- High level of working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (e.g., Word) including working with templates
- Ability to influence and persuade others
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional proof reading and editing skills (British English)
- Be able to take full ownership for their role, judgements and decisions
- Be organised and be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines

**Your Qualifications**
- APMP qualification or similar qualifications are desirable
- University degree in a relevant field is desirable

**Other Information**
- This position is Permanent
- Job Setting is On-site at our head office in Queen’s Park, London W10 4BQ
- It is offered in both Full-time and Part-time
- Salary and Benefits are Flexible
