The School of Health and Social Care is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced academic staff to support the growth of the BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science programmes.

The innovative curricula have been co-produced and designed with key stakeholders to develop the Healthcare Scientists of the future. This post offers an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in moving the School of Health and Social Care forward with its strategic plan to deliver a sustainable health and social care workforce for Gloucestershire and beyond in collaboration with strategic healthcare partners.

Over the coming years, our vision is to expand our existing Healthcare Science programme portfolio with a view to build a community of courses that meets the growing Education and Training needs of the Healthcare Science workforce.

There is opportunity for full-time, job-share or fractional posts within the current academic structure.

If you have clinical experience in Healthcare Science, and a proven interest in the delivery of high-quality education (at undergraduate/postgraduate level), we would be very keen to hear from you.

You must have professional registration within your specialist field and hold an undergraduate BSc in Healthcare Science or equivalent to be considered.

As an academic you will be expected to have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. However, if moving from practice, you will be supported to complete the University of Gloucestershire’s Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice at a timescale to be agreed at appraisal. There is a clear expectation that the post holder engages in the staff development programme provided.

This post requires a DBS check.

The School of Health and Social Care will be relocating from its current premises on Oxstalls Campus to the City Campus, a new development for the University that will be a focal point of Gloucester City, and a modern centre for teaching learning and community partnerships.
