Manpower is currently recruiting for an experienced Handyperson (mechanical team). This is a short-term contract. You must have a valid driving license as you will be driving to different sites when required.
- Start date: Monday 27 March 2023for an initial period of 3 months, possibly leading to 6 months
- 37 hrs a week
- Mon - Thurs 8am - 4.30pm, Fri 8am - 4pm
- £13.32 p/h

**Experience required for post**: Previous experience of and proven technical competence in mechanical or electrical services maintenance.

**Overall purpose of post**: To carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical, electrical and building controls & systems services maintenance across the University's Estate

**Details of the role**:

- To undertake a rota of weekly fire alarm system testing to agreed standards and record findings and log all tests.
- Undertake without constant supervision basic adaption/repair and reactive, planned and preventative maintenance work, on mechanical and electrical and systems services and equipment across the University's estate.
- To assist, under instruction from discipline Technicians, more complex adaption/repair and reactive, planned and preventative maintenance work, on mechanical and electrical and systems services and equipment across the University's estate.
- To assist in the basic, or under instruction from discipline Technicians, more complex adaption/repair and reactive, planned and preventative maintenance work within the buildings maintenance or grounds teams as required. Support Technicians on multipleperson tasks
