Adecco are recruiting to work on site with our prestigious Aerospace client for a Packer
**Location**: Goodrich Actuation Systems Limited, Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, WV10 7EH
**Hours**: 37 Hours a week. Double day shift - 6-1.30 and 1-9
**Rate**: £14.36
**Contract Duration**: 6 Months

**Role & Responsibility**:
Logistics has a dedicated Despatch Department that supports day to day processing of outgoing Material for the production departments across the site in line with Corporate Procedures & EHS guidelines
Principle Accountabilities
- Work with the Final view and shipping team to pack items to support with the daily shipping plan
- Liaise with shipping team to ensure correct items are picked and packed.
- Ability to pack effectively in a quick and efficient manner working with colleagues and can work on own.
- Quick to learn with full training given.
- Verify despatch documents, material, components & quantity received are, correct to documentation requirements & the relevant procedures that are applicable.
- Ability to interface with a wider range of business personnel to ensure the timely dispatch of goods.
- Able to follow procedure and specific quality requirements of parts.
- Structured and organised; good reporting and communication skills.
- Liaise with couriers whilst on site to ensure vehicles are secure when leaving site and checking drivers ID's to ensure they are valid couriers on the approved list.
- Create & manage any record systems that are required (dispatch logs etc.)
- Sort & segregate waste for recycling & maintain good house
- keeping and a high level of 5s.
- Able & willing to work Days, Double Days Shift including weekends as & when required and certain times of the month working longer hours to fulfil sales requirements.
- Be responsible for signing paperwork for special shipments and taking responsibility for their integrity.

**Typical Educational Requirements**:

- Computer literate ideal
- Known cargo training will be given as part of the onsite training
- Flexible with a willingness to work as part of a team
- Reliable, good timekeeping with a "can do" attitude.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Responsive to change i.e. Continuous Improvement & achieving ACE goals
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational, time management skills
- Able to work calm under pressure & able to work on own initiative & make decisions
