This role will be an integral part of our team, ensuring quality community management of our social media feeds primarily at **weekends and evenings**, often responding to large number of messages. This is a part time role, working on average 18.75 hours per week on a fortnightly rota, alternating between weekend and evening cover (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and timewith the Social Media team during office hours on Tuesdays.

Working as part of our marketing team, this role is a social media specialist and part of the team responsible for both managing and growing the social communities of the National Trust, and working with internal stakeholders to ensure their stories aretold. It’s not about firing out generic broadcasts, we want you to live and breathe our cause, to embrace being at the heart of the social conversation about our places, to build relationships and to spread the word about why we’re here in new and excitingways.

What it's like to work here Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith your team.

We are a supportive team, who work at pace, often juggling a broad range of conversations on our social media channels, whilst leading for creative and quality content. Alongside day to day community management, content creation and supporting our marketingcampaigns, the team often need to quickly respond to external media stories about the Trust. This role reports into our senior social media executive, alongside three other social media executives.

What you'll be doing This is a part-time role, which will include looking after our communities during weekends and evenings. The role works on a fortnightly rota basis, alternating between working weekends and evenings, along with a full day or half day, during office hourseach Tuesday. You’ll need to know your stuff - as a key part of our experienced social media team, you’ll be central to ensuring that we choose the right channels and messages to reflect our cause. By running and evaluating our social media activity againstagreed KPIs, including content creation, moderation, relationship building and optimisation, you’ll make sure that we’re developing and learning through all that we share.

Already a social media professional, you know exactly why social is important to our charity. You’ve got a strong understanding of what engaged online communities need, you take customer service in these spaces seriously, and you’re following relevant markettrends. Able to combine this with your creative and editorial skills, you’ll not just see the opportunities in our stories, but inspire and excite people about them. Plus you’re as good in person as you are online - a team player, a great communicator anda proactive multi-tasker. With experience in working on tasks independently, you’ll also be comfortable working outside of normal office hours. Most importantly, you love our places and spaces as much as we do and want to share them with as many people aspossible.

Who we're looking for
- A social media professional with a sound understanding of what makes on-line communities tick and what content performs well in these spaces.
- Proven experience of managing and growing social media communities in a professional capacity on behalf of a brand / organisation, including responding to customer service and difficult situations on-line.
- Experience of producing social media content for business.
- Experience of writing, editing and proof-reading engaging and creative copy.
- Experience of keeping a social editorial calendar up-to-date.
- Familiarity with a range of social management, monitoring and analytics tools.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and produce well-organised reports.
- Ability to work as part of a team, sharing ideas and learning, and to build collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders within the National Trust.
- Ability to juggle many tasks at once and to remain calm and focused under pressure.
