What will the apprentice be doing?

Apprentice Carpenters will work alongside qualified and experienced staff learning the trade and assisting in all aspects of carpentry, including:

- 1st fix; floor joists, Roof carcase, door linings, staircases
- 2nd fix; hanging doors, skirtings and architraves
- Fitting door furniture
- Working safely and responsibly at all times, with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work and training

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The qualification the apprentice shall receive at the end of the Apprenticeship will be the Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery.

The successful applicant will first work towards the Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship Standard.

Functional Skills in English and maths if required - These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- For the right person, there will be a full-time opportunity for the apprentice

**Job Types**: Permanent, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £9,620.00-£27,137.06 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stoke-on-Trent: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
- Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
- Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
