Building Safety Officer required, up to £300 per day. WFH, plus 2 days onsite. 6 months plus
**Your new company**
You will be working for a large city council in the West Midlands as part of a wider Housing and Property division. You will be responsible for a specific group of residential buildings and report into the Building Safety Manager.
**Your new role**As a Building Safety Officer you will be part of a team responsible for the safety of large residential buildings and the occupants who live there. You will help manage, assess and maintain all areas of risk and improvement across Fire, water hygiene, healthand safety including overseeing and surveying remedial or repairs works. You will be interacting with occupants and residents putting their safety at the forefront of your role. You will also review and update digital records, safety case files, Fire emergencyfiles and other required regulatory requirements. You will act as the point of contact for residents as behalf of the Building Safety Manager.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will need a building qualification and experience relating to property repair and maintenance. You will have a Fire Risk Assessment qualification from a professional body and an in depth knowledge of the BSM framework. Knowledge or experience of publicsector settings and experience of working in occupied buildings will also be required. You will be required to demonstrate working knowledge of Northgate, Techforge, Apex and other related IT systems.
