Site Manager - Mechanical & Electrical

Location - Royal Horticultural Society Garden Wisley, Woking

Start Date 20/3/23

Duration 2 months possibly a little longer.

Pay £235 per day

Reed are working with our client that will have a project at Royal Horticultural Society Garden Wisley, in Woking. This project is a Grodome Greenhouse Fit Out.The project will involve electrical installation, thermal and solar screen installation, and mechanicalinstallation. You will oversee the contractors and ensure that the project runs to plan. You will also be required to report to the project manager daily on progress.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical & Electrical Background and a relevant M&E qualification (electrical or HVAC or Plumbing/Pipefitting)
- You will be heading up the site team working for our Project Manager ensuring all aspects of the installation are completed to programme whilst managing the site teams progress, health and safety, quality and material ordering etc.
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
- Previous experience of CDM regulations
- Be happy to at times act as a working foreman to install field wiring of the BMS controls along with mechanical services removal/install and making good.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage and monitor performance of labour and specialist sub-contractors, ensuring completion of set related tasks in accordance with drawings and in line with health & Safety (CDM)/programme requirements, being pro-active at all times.
- Undertake site quality inspections to ensure site compliance with client requirements, specification and Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), Construction Phase Plan and the site rules are adhered to.
- Provide all persons coming on to the site with a Site induction and inform all persons on site of the site safety rules.
- Assist the Project Manager with on-site tasks and planning
- Material ordering, deliveries, organisation and safe keeping of.
- At times act as a working foreman to install field wiring of the BMS controls along with mechanical services removal/install and making good.
- Set Up and Establish the Site compound
- Raise any issues that could affect progress to Project Manager in good time.
- Full co-operation with the Project manager throughout the project at every level.
- Ensure appropriate quality and workmanship is being met and working alongside Health and Safety Manager to ensure that safety standards are understood, implemented and maintained by all contractors to facilitate safe progress of works.
- Ensure that snagging is identified and rectified during course of project and participate with commissioning and handover to a successful conclusion.
- Weekly progress updates with project team via Teams/other collaboration platform preferred. Update on activities undertaken that week as well as a plan of activities planned for the following week. Photos of site progress to be provided in the weekly updates.
