I am supporting a Tunbridge Wells Secondary school based in Tunbridge Wells to recruit a teacher of Food and Nutrition. This role will be offered as either a long term temporary post (to July 2023) or as a permanent contract starting in January 2023.
In this job you will get the opportunity to teach a mixed timetable of KS3 and KS4 Food and Nutrition. You may be asked to support in some other areas of the Design Technology curriculum. You will teach in purpose built classrooms and be supported by a strongdepartment of teachers and support staff.
This school, based in Tunbridge Wells, is considered to be outstanding by Ofsted and teachers at the school refer to behaviour and student engagement as 'excellent'. The school has a good focus on behaviour management, teacher coaching and CPD and student progress.The school is easily accessible by public transport and by road with ample parking close to the site. All classes are equipped with new technology to support innovative and engaging teaching methodology.
To be successful in this role you will need:

- The ability to teach Food and Nutrition at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
- A Willingness to engage and embrace enthusiastic students
- The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
- The experience to manage challenging behaviour
- The knowledge of current and innovative teaching methodologies
