- Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming requirements
- Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment
- Ability to handle pets with care and compassion
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners

**Skills**:

- Animal care: Ability to handle animals safely and provide appropriate care during the grooming process
- Veterinary: Knowledge of basic animal health and hygiene practices, such as recognizing signs of illness or injury
- Customer service: Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners, understand their preferences, and address any concerns they may have
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and maneuver larger pets or equipment as required
