Job Introduction Sodexo are seeking a Deputy GSM at Nestle in Sudbury. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating, controlling, and recording all waste removal activities while ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols and waste management legislation. **What you’ll do**:Oversee and ensure compliance with waste management processes, aligning with Sodexo's and the client's health and safety protocols.Coordinate the day-to-day service delivery, maintaining statutory, mandatory, and contractual compliance across the site.Assist in managing the site in the absence of the General Services Manager (GSM), supporting the development of business strategies to meet current and emerging client needs.Lead a culture of safety, ensuring all Safeguard administration and logístical operations prioritize health and safety.Manage, train, and support the onsite team, including night shift personnel, ensuring high standards of service delivery and employee engagement.Optimize operational efficiency and profitability, working closely with the GSM and utilizing systems such as Kronus and Eprofit.
**What you bring**:Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Experience in facilities management, particularly in waste management within a manufacturing or similar environment.Proven ability to manage training, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.A track record of successful people management, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Innovative problem-solving skills with a focus on improving productivity and waste management performance.Forklift truck license is preferable but not essential.
