**About The Role**:
**Role - Technology Support Specialist**

**Location - Bristol/Manchester/Birmingham**

**Work pattern - Office based**

**Role Purpose**:

- Support the Technology function in delivering technology solutions and support to end users.
- Be the friendly face of Technology within our offices.
- Own tasks and incidents from assignment to resolution / delivery.
- Be passionate about technology and how it can help improve business outcomes and colleague experience.
- Effectively communicate technology issues and requirements to business stakeholders and end users.
- Follow and champion ITIL best practices to help ensure smooth operation of Technology functions.
- Design solutions to business needs and resolve incidents in a flexible and supportable manner.
- Review technical plans and assesses the feasibility and technical risk of incorporating a given solution into the internal technology environment. Communicates the findings to senior management and Enterprise Architecture teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evangelise/Humanise modern ways of working with regards to Technology/IT.
- Provide solutions to business needs that reflect the urgency and cost profile appropriate to the task.
- Provide technical guidance to project delivery teams to ensure alignment to IT strategies and Enterprise Architecture guidelines.
- Assist the Technology leadership Team with delivery of a defined Technology change delivery roadmap to ensure delivery meets the required specification and delivery timelines.
- Ensure improvements in on-time, on-budget and on-quality features and continuous change delivery.
- Engage with Portfolio on the take on of solutions ensuring that they are fit for support, secure, and sustainable.
Successful stakeholder management, ensuring clear alignment of deliverables, clear governance and decision making.
- Provide 1st/2nd line support to end users and portfolio teams as appropriate.

**Essential Skills**:

- Proven Technical IT experience in fast-paced organisation, managing significant change.
- Experience in agile ways of working on mission critical solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructures including but not limited to:
a) Microsoft Windows and Active Directory, both on premises and Cloud based.
b) Infrastructure including network and server
d) Experience with Okta, Cloudflare, Zscaler and other similar service based infrastructure supporting solutions is a benefit.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Relevant experience, a degree is not required. Microsoft or appropriate vendor qualifications and certifications are of benefit.
- ITIL (v3 or v4) qualifications are of benefit but not required.
