Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established planning consultancy in their hire of an ambitious Senior Associate Town Planner to their rapidly growing team in London
My client focuses on bring creativity, sustainability, and big picture thinking to the planning of spaces and infrastructure, and to help clients in the property and low carbon energy sectors deliver incredible projects.
The teams UK-wide portfolio ranges from renewable energy to residential and mixed-use schemes, large-scale urban extensions, and Future Planning sustainability work.
As a future leader in the consultancy, you'll report to a director holding a pivotal and varied role, delighting loyal clients with exceptional service across a range of projects and development management services, and fostering relationships with new ones.More specifically, you can expect to find yourself:
- Leading a team of highly motivated consultants.
- Leading a variety of renewable energy projects from solar farms and battery storage to hydrogen generation.
- Leading co-living/co-working and build-to-rent developments in cities, and promoting sustainable urban extensions.
- Being actively involved in coordination and management of specialist external consultants, public consultations, and report writing.
- Providing strategic sustainability advice and acting as sustainability champion on projects.
- Contributing to company growth by forging strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
- Being an active part of a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have a broad planning remit, but ideally with experience in renewable energy, residential, mixed-use, and build-to-rent.
- Have a keen interest, and ideally experience, in sustainability strategy work.
- Are MRTPI-qualified with significant post-chartership experience in development management.
- Thrive being client-facing and have fluency in all stages of a full project lifecycle.
- Have great interpersonal, project management, delegation and IT skills alongside entrepreneurial spirit and an appetite for continuous learning.
