Pacs Assistant

NHS Fife Radiology are looking to recruit a new PACS Assistant within the Radiology PACS IT Team.

You will have skills and competencies associated with significant working in a similar role of supporting and administering systems, as well as first line IT support skills. An in depth understanding of PACS and RIS systems is desirable as well as a good grasp of general IM&T systems, networks, and hardware.

You will be part of a small, dedicated team of skilled specialists, as well as being an integral part of the Radiology department.

Excellent communication skills and an ability to problem solve are vital attributes of this role, as you will be in contact with a wide range of people over multiple professions and will handle sometimes complex situations.

As access to the Radiology service is a core activity affecting every area of healthcare, you will develop a working relationship with the wider NHS Fife and NHS Scotland environment.

Applicants should have attention to detail and have a proactive outlook towards maintaining and improving systems and working practices for the benefit of staff and patients.

The post has responsibility within all NHS Fife Radiology sites, so you will be required to work flexibly with their team across Fife.
