Trainee Dispenser

We are currently looking for a friendly individual to join our team. We are an independent pharmacy located in Mitcham and pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient-centred care.

As a _**Trainee Dispenser**_ you will be involved in giving healthcare advice and supporting with pharmacy services.

**Your role includes**:

- Ensuring patients receive a friendly and attentive service
- Communicating clearly with patients regarding prescriptions and over the counter medications
- Supporting with the delivery of all professional services in the pharmacy
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment at all times
- Operating a till and cash handling
- Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g., ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
- Complying with legal guidance on dispensary practices.
- Medication deliveries to patient’s homes
- Prescription collection from local surgeries.

**Essential requirements**:

- Full-time position working 24 hours/week. Monday-Friday (shifts between 8am-7pm), and alternate Saturdays (9-3pm).
- Previous experience of working within a pharmacy is not necessary, as training will be provided.
- Flexible, Reliable and Hardworking
- Able to work extra hours to cover staff shortages, holidays and busy periods.
- Proactive, Organised and Self-Motivated
- Well Presented, Confident and Excellent Communication Skills
- **MUST HAVE A DRIVING LICENCE and Own a Car.**:

- Good IT skills

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear a mask whilst working at the pharmacy.
Protective screens are placed around the healthcare and dispensary counter.
A max of 3 customers are allowed in the pharmacy at any given time, to allow for social distancing.
