**What you’ll do**:
As Head of Econometrics within the Consumer Strategy team, you’ll be responsible for the UK’s largest and best in-house econometrics team to ensure Sky makes optimised marketing investment decisions across all territories and product categories:
- Lead a team of 27 econometrics specialists
- Support the UK and EU Econometrics Leads overseeing delivery of the annual project roadmap
- Through the team, support efficient delivery of 6-8 econometrics projects per quarter across the Sky product suite to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing activity
- Ensure the team provide clear and actionable insight with ‘so what’ implications that will directly shape future campaigns
- Ensure statistically robust analysis is in place and providing recommendations to maximise the impact of our £400-£500m annual media investment and supporting key pricing decisions
- Maintain and enhance analytical standards, modelling platform and optimisation capability ensuring consistency across the full econometrics team (i.e. UK and EU).
- Manage relationships with local data teams to ensure maintenance of required data inputs, tooling and alignment with Finance on per sub fluid economic units and media performance reconciliation
- Interact with and influence decision-making of Executives, MDs, Directors, Heads of Department and our media agency to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of the econometric insights
- Ensure econometrics power and limitations are understood, integrating the capability with the wider brand measurement framework, digital attribution and test & learn programme.
- Champion and drive the reputation of the capability and your team across Sky
**What you’ll bring**:
- Prior experience leading an econometrics team within an organisation and / or client management within an established marketing analytics provider in the industry
- Proven experience of delivering econometric modelling specifically to make recommendations that inform Media Planning and Marketing Strategy.
- Proven understanding of scenario and optimisation tools - inputs, functions, outputs and user models
- Previous experience managing multiple project teams concurrently, supporting your team’s personal and professional development
- Excellent communication skills - be an articulate, positive and professional communicator
- Impeccable organisational and time management skills: ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- A clear understanding of the relevant tool sets to build econometric models with knowledge of Eviews, SQL and Python desirable
