Gateman

Here at Watkin Jones, we are now looking to appoint a Gateman to work on our extensive affordable home project based in Crewe for a fixed term contract until October 2025.

This ground-breaking development will consist of 245 new homes, including 159 affordable homes. The scheme on Sydney Road will create a balanced community with more than double the required affordable housing for rent and for sale.

Located within walking distance of Crewe town centre, as well as the highly connected rail station, the development will include significant green space and two pond features to encourage biodiversity.

**We are looking to appoint a Gateman who will be responsible for**:

- Presenting a positive image of the company to all visitors and offering assistance at all times
- Recording via Field View site register
- Recording via Field View Co2 logs of all deliveries & dealing with site deliveries
- Banking vehicles in and out of site
- Ensuring public safety
- Monitoring and responding to security alarm system activations
- Liaising with site staff to plan ahead for the day’s delivery and despatch schedule
- General tidying and housekeeping
- Carrying out other ad-hoc duties where required
- Locking up the gate at the end of the day
- Some labouring duties and all other associated duties as and when requested by the Site Manager

**About you**

You must be able to show previous experience working within a similar type or role, as well as hold a valid CSCS card. You must also be comfortable working on a computer to be able to log information accordingly.
