Fleet Mechanic

**HGV Mechanic**

**Full Time Monday
- Friday**

**Salary £ Competitive + Company Vehicle**

We have an opportunity for a Fleet Mechanic (Large Good Vehicles) to come and join our workshop on a full-time basis.

**Main Objective**

To provide a comprehensive mechanics function in the service and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure optimum roadworthiness and operational availability in support of the Company's business plan, quality standards and operational objectives.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Carry out routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and lift trucks to minimise risk of breakdown
- Carry out regular servicing of fleet vehicles in line with manufacturers recommendations and / or industry standards
- Follow up any reports of faults reported by Company drivers, diagnose and repair where possible
- Prepare fleet vehicles in readiness for MOT tests
- Carry out repairs to vehicles, lift trucks and WH equipment where necessary
- Servicing, maintenance, repair and checking of fleet vehicles, trucks and machinery as required
- Completion of any associated documentation / paperwork with regard to serviced vehicles, trucks and equipment
- Carry out any other duties as required and as commensurate with role

**Requirements**:

- Have a qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- At least 2+ years’ experience working in the repair and maintenance of HGV & commercial vehicles
- Be enthusiastic and motivated
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Have Full UK Driving Licence with HGV Class 1 entitlement
- Fork Lift maintenance desirable
