This is an opportunity to take on a brand new role, supporting University of Plymouth Students including post graduates living in a range of accommodation across the region

In addition to the specific duties in the Job Description you will:

- Be an integral part of the wider Accommodation Team
- Have excellent administration skills will be required as you'll be keeping detailed records of interactions with students, and responding to their concerns and queries, sometimes to short deadlines
- Be based on campus with travel as required to locations within the region, you will also contribute to University wide events such as clearing, arrivals and recruitment events - managing time flexibly as required sometimes outside traditional office hours. The role is part-time, however working hours will vary, especially during peak times, and actual working days/hours can be negotiated.
- Have some knowledge of the challenges facing students and experience in a customer facing role which includes problem solving.
- Be experienced in student housing, although this is not essential as training will be given.
- Be confident making decisions as necessary within set policies and procedures and able to deal calmly and competently sometimes with distressed or demanding students.

You should enjoy varied work and have some experience of prioritising conflicting tasks and deadlines as well as working as part of a close team who pull together to navigate peaks and troughs of workload during the academic year. You will need to maintain excellent boundaries with students and have an understanding of safeguarding and wellbeing issues; and will be working with International students from a range of backgrounds so ability to engage and empathise with varied experiences will be essential.

A current full driving licence (manual transmission) is essential as you will be driving University of Plymouth vehicles.

Interviews are likely to take place on Wednesday 29 March 2023 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.

This is a part-time position working 22.20 hours per week on a permanent basis.
