Hay Distillery is a small business in Hay, HR3 5BQ. We are a creative, small batch distillery with our own shop and bar. We want to provide a warm welcoming space for our customers to come and enjoy our spirits, cocktails, shopping and tasting experiences.

**We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as Bar and Shop Assistant (Part-Time)**

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for the position of Bar and Shop Assistant at Hay Distillery. If you have a passion for craft spirits, excellent customer service skills, and expertise in cocktail making, this could be the perfect role for you.

Hay Distillery is a renowned craft distillery located in the heart of Hay on Wye. We specialise in producing high-quality spirits using traditional methods and locally sourced ingredients. Our team is committed to creating unique and exceptional spirits that are loved by our customers.

**Responsibilities**:
As Bar and Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales, and creating delicious cocktails for our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting customers with their purchases, providing product recommendations, and answering any queries they may have.

2. Preparing and serving a variety of cocktails and local beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency.

3. Collaborating with the team to develop and create new cocktail recipes and seasonal specials.

4. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the bar and shop areas.

5. Handling cash transactions and operating the point-of-sale system.

6. Assisting with inventory management, including restocking shelves and tracking stock levels.

7. Collaborating with the team to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our customers.

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
1. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a bar or retail environment.

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

3. A passion for craft spirits and a desire to learn about our products.

4. Ability to work well in a team and independently.

6. Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £9.55-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
