**The Role**
Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a large UK organisation with their search for a Procurement Category Manager.The Procurement Category Manager will manage their own portfolio of Indirect categories and support the Department Head in the deliveryof key strategic objectives.
The Client will support a mix of 1-2 days' office working, 3-4 days' working from home.
Key activities for this challenging role will include:

- Management of contracts and supplier performance against KPIs
- Supplier relationship development and management
- Cost reduction and continuous improvement
- Supplier quality control audits
- Market/spend/pricing analysis by category
- Sourcing new supplier partners as required/supplier rationalisation
- Stakeholder query management/transition to new processes and systems
- Mentoring more junior team members

**About You**
The successful Procurement Category Manager will possess:

- A proven track record in procurement and contract management
- Strong commercial and customer service skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities
- Good prioritisation, project management and organisational abilities
- A pro-active, dynamic and self-sufficient nature
- A good eye for detail and well developed analytical skills

Equally suitable for experienced Category Managers who have successfully managed budgets and achieved challenging objectives at this level or for more junior Category Buyers wishing to take a progressive step up in their career with excellent opportunitiesfor further development...
