**Briar Dawn Veterinary Centre - New** **Graduate** **Programme - Small Animal Vet**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a New Graduate Vet to join our friendly and supportive team at Briar Dawn Veterinary Centre.

Briar Dawn Veterinary Centre is a modern, small animal veterinary practice in Oldham, Greater Manchester and is a gateway to the beautiful Pennines. We provide an excellent service to our clients and offer an excellent work-life balance to our team.

Our practice is well-equipped with, Dental radiography, digital x-ray, cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy, slit lamp, tonometer and electro-cautery. Our team are forward thinking and always aim to give the best clinical care possible to our patients. We currently have 4 full-time vets (3 of whom are studying for certificates) and one part-time vet. We are also a RCVS approved Graduate Development Practice.

Our amazing team of Vets, Nurses and Receptionists will support you, backed up by the support of both our Practice Director and Clinical Director. Our veterinary team work closely sharing knowledge and like to discuss cases and our Nurses can offer you lots of support. Our super organised receptionist team are great at helping us prep for our day and are loved by our amazing clients We offer 20-minute consults as standard.

This is a full-time position - 40 hours per week, over 4 days, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am-3pm). No OOH or on-call duties are required in this role.

In addition to working at Briar Dawn you will also spend some time at our Pet Medics sites in Manchester which will allow you the opportunity to spend time with a number of Vets all with different interests and skillsets.

In addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

**These are just some of the benefits of the programme**:

- Paid onboarding phase which includes a Residential. All UK travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for the Residential will be covered by CVS
- Salary of £34,000 which increases at the end of year 1 and at the end of year 2
- No financial tie-in beyond completion of the programme.
