We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer work place accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role.

As the Pensions & Benefits Consultant you will assist the Head of Pensions and Benefits to help shape and develop M&G plc’s strategy for UK pensions and broader employee benefits. - Day to day management of UK adviser relationships, including agreeing scope of activity, budget tracking, costs, billing and invoices.
- Drafting, reviewing and updating pension and employee benefit communications.
- Management of triennial UK auto-enrolment compliance activities ensuring timely returns to the Pensions Regulator and efficient organisation of re-enrolments.
- Accurate and timely collation and provision of Benefits data for internal and external reporting requirements (for example executive benefits for inclusion in the plc Annual Report).
- Management of the renewals and re-broking of UK insured benefits (life assurance, private medical, critical illness etc).
- Supporting the Head of Pensions & Benefits in the oversight of other UK benefits programmes. Includes managing benefit reviews, supplier reviews, new benefit implementations and changes of supplier.
- Delivery of other ad-hoc pension & benefit projects as required.

Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of UK pensions legislation and practice, for both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes. Preferably evidenced by qualification or part-qualification towards a recognised UK pensions qualification.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with the working practices required to comply with UK data privacy standards.

Experience
- Broad experience in managing and/or advising on UK pensions, including the management and delivery of change projects. Comfortable engaging at Trustee Board and subcommittee meetings.
- Experience of processing data in Excel.

Personal attributes / skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks, while recognising the need for appropriate review / oversight.
- Able to communicate and work within a team effectively.

We have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture at M&G plc, underpinned by our policies and our employee-led networks who provide networking opportunities, advice and support for the diverse communities our colleagues represent.
