Avencia Consulting are working with a highly reputable Insurer based in the City, who are looking to hire an ITIL Consultant to join on a 6 month contract basis.

**The role**:
**Key accountabilities**:

- Assessment of current IT processes and identification of areas for improvement
- Developing and implementing new ITIL-based processes, including incident, problem, change, and release management
- Providing guidance and training to IT staff on the proper use of ITIL processes
- Improving governance and reporting processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the effective adoption of new ITIL processes
- Developing and implementing performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of ITIL processes
- Establishing a framework to report to senior management relevant performance metrics
- Documenting IT processes and policies for handover to operational IT personnel to maintain on an ongoing basis
- Staying up-to-date with the latest ITIL best practices and trends and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

**Skills & experience**:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ITIL consultant
- Strong knowledge of ITIL v3 and v4 frameworks
- Proven experience of implementing ITIL in financial services organisations
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong drafting skills - the role will necessitate the production of policy and process documentation as well as reports for senior management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in ITIL (Foundation, Intermediate, Expert) is highly desired.
