Substantive Consultant Paediatrician with An

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and cohesive team of paediatricians at Northwest Anglia Foundation Trust (NWAFT).

We are looking to appoint a general paediatrician with an interest in epilepsy or who is motivated to develop a subspecialty interest in epilepsy to join a team of 22 hospital based consultants.

The post holder will be one of 15 general paediatricians based in Peterborough and will support general paediatric and epilepsy service in the Peterborough region of our Trust.

The paediatric consultants in Peterborough currently do a 1:12 general paediatric consultant rota and cover both general paediatrics and neonatology out of hours. The expectation is that the general paediatric and neonatal rotas will be split in the near future.

The post will attract 10 PA's on the new contract.

The department in PCH is housed within a flagship PFI hospital with state-of-the-art facilities.

The paediatric and neonatal units are located together in the Women and Children's wing of the hospital. We believe this integration is benefitting the paediatric department and we continue to increase cross-site working in the non-acute aspects of paediatric and neonatal care.
