**The Opportunity**

To successfully own, manage and deliver the Stakeholder & Engagement Plan for the Central Innovation Team to support the development, management and delivery of innovative change across Cadent.
- Prioritise workload and support the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needs and targets.

**Accountabilities**:

- To work with all business areas to understand key strategic challenges and identify innovation areas that provide long term value, aligned to operational business priorities and problems.
- Working closely with internal colleagues (including Contract Partners if required) and external stakeholders to understand industry standard innovation in terms of tools and techniques, ensuring implementation is timely, safe, and sustainable.
- Ensuring successful Business Partner relationships within Cadent Innovation are formed and maintained.
- Working with external stakeholders to deliver the Innovation strategy where innovative change can add value for our customers.
- Develop and deliver communications and engagement strategy for innovation projects, including the organisation and delivery of dissemination events (conferences, summits etc) as prescribed by relevant governance set by Ofgem.
- Strong, confident communication throughout the business functions with key stakeholders and network areas.
- Seek out new innovators, technologies, and value-adding service providers.
- Assess, critique, and launch tender opportunities and market research programmes on behalf of Cadent.
- Collection and maintenance of supplier and innovation contacts to enable effective contact for future challenges
- Develop credible technology developments and trial propositions, in conjunction with innovators, for consideration by Cadent and collaborative partners.
- Assist innovators in identifying potential markets for their technologies within Cadent, aligning with Cadent’s Business Strategies.
- Create energy around and create a culture of innovation - celebrating successes, showcasing events, and raising awareness and understanding of the innovation function. P
