Trainee Smt Engineer

We are recruiting an exciting new position for our client based in Hastings. They are the market leaders in all thing’s electrical assembly.

**Main Duties**
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in line with the health and safety policy
- Report any problems that is having an effect on production to the team leader or manufacturing manager
- Tasks will include, running production batches of assemblies, understanding and using Bills of materials/Parts lists, loading components onto feeders, routine machine maintenance and electronic and manual document control
- Ensure knowledge is maintained of current works instructions and procedures
- To assist in the review and update (where necessary) of all work instructions and procedures

**Skills and Experience**
- The applicant will have the ability to work confidently on their own once trained, but still maintain a mindset of asking for help.
- Reading and understanding basic customer drawings and data sheets would also be needed.
- The applicant will be able to fit in and work comfortably with the other members of a small team.
- A sound background in Maths is important particularly an understanding of X, Y, Z co-ordinate positioning and offsets along with a basic knowledge of electronics and engineering.

**Working Hours**
- 40 hrs. a week
- Mondays to Thursday 7am to 4.30pm
- Fridays 7.30am to 1.30pm
