**Logistics done differently.**

Do you want to become an HGV Driver but don’t have the funds to train? Have you heard about the Governments driver training through the Skills Bootcamp scheme? We at XPO have partnered with some of the country’s finest HGV /LGV Driver training operators to train people not working as LGV drivers currently to become Class 1 truck drivers.

And once you have completed the training you will potentially walk straight into a job working for us Not only this, but we have on-site trainers who will take you from being a newly qualified driver with no experience to a highly trained, professional driver

**Pay, benefits and more**:
Once you have qualified your employment will start with us, in approximately 16 weeks time (depending on the speed at which you train). On becoming a Class 1 Driver with us you will join our Wolseley contract at Milton Keynes. The full-time positions on offer will be night shift working Sunday to Thursday.

**What you’ll do during your training**:
Once interviewed and you have shown your suitability to be trained as a Class 1 driver, your learning journey will start
- You will be offered a full-time permanent Drivers position with us pending you passing the Training Bootcamp
- You will continue with your current job whilst you train - you will need to set aside around 11 days of your holiday to use for training
You will study in your free time for the Driver Theory Test
- You will then have your practical driver training and test and then complete your training to get your Driver CPC

Once you have passed you can arrange a start date with us, then the fun really starts

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- No more than 6 points on your licence
- No DD, DR or IN endorsements
- The commitment needed to self-study, this is a great opportunity to get highly valued training free, you need to make the most of it
- We will have regular keep in touch days with you throughout your training, you must be able to make time to come to our sites and to learn more about being a HGV Driver for XPO
