Truck Dispatcher
Location: Ipswich

Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are proud to be working with one of the largest shipping companies in the world, they are looking for a Truck Dispatcher to join their close-knit team at their Ipswich office

What’s involved?
- Control, plan & monitor daily traffic sheet
- Day to day planning of combined work to deliver quality service to customer & cost-effective utilization of vehicles
- To meet/exceed average weekly target revenue levels
- Weekly reporting & vehicle settlement process
- Liaison with rail planners situated inhouse for rail booking route changes/amendments/cancellations.
- Haulier management: communication with hauliers/drivers regards to the day-to-day issues
- Client management: liaising with customers regarding day-to-day issues, agreeing rebooking’s direct with client if unable to accept in consultation
- Updating of rebooking in Truckcom and/or IRIS, liaising with spot transport, Import & Export departments of booking changes
- Additional charge management in Truckcom
- Aiding transport group mailbox management, liaising with the transport desk/Mutlimodal colleagues situated in Fxt office
- Destin8/CNS port systems, releasing of Import containers/obtaining pins.
- VBS, booking vehicle slots through port/rail VBS websites where required
- IRIS management: job order generation, cancelling, booking appointments, routing updates.
- Any other ad hoc duties
- General administration duties.
