Outsourcing Manager

**About the company and department**
The RSM Outsourcing team is one of the fastest growing service lines within the UK firm, generating annuity clients for the outsourcing practice which are pivotal to the development of wider relationships across the firm. The outsourcing team delivers a widespectrum of services - from bookkeeping and management reporting for both the UK and international clients, using its on-shore shared services model, to the preparation of statutory accounts and indirect tax returns for multi-jurisdictional clients, underpinnedby the project management of the RSM International member firms. The business deploys technology throughout to drive efficiency into its production processes and, in combination with its sector focus, to use analytics to create genuine insight and value toits clients.
The team’s overall philosophy is one of collaboration, transparency and partnering - a feature that is not only consistent with the firm as a whole but which is core to its contractual terms with clients.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage other members of the Outsourcing team, you will be overseeing their day to day activities and providing support and guidance where applicable.
- Oversee and review production of monthly management information as required by each client. Willingness to step down to complete tasks if necessary.
- Check and release payments made on behalf of clients as needed.
- Control client's bank accounts and prepare cash forecasts when funds are low (or too high), suggesting possible solutions to the client and carrying out agreed actions.
- Check and approve purchase invoice batches and journals prepared by junior team members and release postings in to the accounting system
- Review and understanding of monthly and bi monthly payrolls, particularly with regard to Hypo Tax, Bonuses and Share based payments.
- Assist and control the preparation of client employee's Annual Earnings Summaries used for the preparation of employee's worldwide Tax returns. (both calendar and country specific tax years).
- Review VAT returns as prepared by the Outsourcing team, including any partial exemption calculations.
- Review ECSL, Nat Stats and any other Government Returns required, eg FCA returns, PSA return.
- Meet/Speak regularly with more senior client personnel to discuss their current and future issues/plans, and ensure client is satisfied with service provided
**Personal and professional qualities**
- Management experience
- Experience of preparing monthly financial reports
- Proactive with good analytical skills - ability to find solutions and explain them clearly
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Good organisation skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible with working hours over month end
- Industry experience preferable, ERP experience required
- Focused on providing excellent client service
