An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join the Endoscopy team at Scunthorpe General Hospital in Scunthorpe on a permanent basis.

We are looking for someone to provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors who visit the unit.

To be able to provide a robust service, the post holder will be expected to work on a rota basis ensuring the service is appropriately covered seven days per week and will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients in a timely manner, ensuring any relevant post-admission information is sent to the relevant person(s).

The role of the Receptionist will be instrumental to the efficient running of the unit, therefore you should be smartly presented and have excellent customer relations and communication skills to work in this role.

The post holder will be required to liaise effectively with colleagues and others departments within the hospital in a professional and pleasant manner. The nature of this post requires the post holder to have a high level of tact and diplomacy as well as strict adherence to the rules of confidentiality.

The post holder will be required to provide a welcoming, professional, and courteous service to patients and visitors who visit our Endoscopy unit.

Excellent communication, motivation and interpersonal skills are essential along with a friendly approach and enthusiasm.

The post holder will be required to assist patients, visitors, staff and colleagues using a variety of communication methods, maintain records and filing systems.
