**Trainee Diamond Driller**

We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a Trainee Diamond Driller to join our Construction Team. The role will involve travelling to our sites nationwide and working away as needed.

You will be using specialist equipment to cut through the toughest materials on a building site, such as reinforced concrete.

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Reports to: Head of Quality

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Responsibilities including but not limited to**:
**Generic Obligations**:

- Responsible for completing diamond drilling and concrete cutting/sawing tasks.
- Maintaining an adequate level of housekeeping
- Planning and carrying out work safely
- Regularly maintaining and servicing drilling equipment and completing weekly required checks
- Keep records of completed tasks and issue to site management each day **Role Specifics**:

- Be accountable for own workmanship and safety
- Take control of planned tasks
- Adhere to product mixing ratios, suitability selection, and preparation methodology
- Be fully adept at interpreting construction related drawings
- Show willingness to train to an adequate level
- Attend daily debrief meetings as/when needed **Health & Safety Prerequisites**
- Fully adhere to risk assessment, method statement, and site induction rulings
- Ensure youre in full possession of PCE uniform and 6 points of PPE
- Attend daily briefings, understand delegated tasks prior to site engagement
- Possess and maintain RPE, use for risk related tasks where airborne contaminants are present
- Be aware of, and do not exceed daily HAV expose limits, routinely record accrued points

**TRAINEE DIAMOND DRILLER REQUIRED SKILLS**

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- Good communication skills
- Experience of a working construction site
- Valid CSCS card
- Completion of CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test

**Desirable requirements for the role**:

- Previous experience gained in diamond drilling role
- IPAF (3a and 3b)
- PASMA tower for users
- First Aid at Work
- Valid and clean driving licence
- Experience in concrete finishing
- NVQ in drilling and sawing
