You will support the Director/Assistant Director of Building Safety in developing and implementing our strategic approach to Building Safety communication, leading the Building Safety Communications Team ensuring that Riverside is delivering a high quality, professional, customer-focused service to our residents, implementing a high-quality service ensuring full compliance with all regulatory obligations including Building Safety resident engagement strategy and Communication Strategy for the Remediation of residential buildings.

**About you**

We are looking for someone with
- Experience of managing a team within a customer service or safety environment dealing with customer contacts dealing with complex enquiries, complaints and dispute resolution and communication.
- Customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels within the business.
- Exhibit strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to coach the team effectively and to empower and enable them to undertake their roles.

**Role Profile**
- Lead on Customer Service in relation to all activity undertaken and managed by the Building Safety department, included developing key stakeholder relationships and attending key business meeting as lead representative for the customer across building safety department. Champion the customer and lead by example, role modelling Our Riverside Way values, to create a strong customer focused culture. Provide expert advice, support and guidance to teams across the business about legislative and regulatory requirements
- Leading a team to implementing a high quality service ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations including compliance with Building Safety Act 2022 to customers homes working with our strategic partners and internal stakeholders to deliver service in line with our riverside way, providing a range of services; including
- management of all 2nd line customer contacts through Digital solutions and telecommunications.
- Proactive communication to colleagues and customers relating to service delivery, compliance & building safety and reactive communications relating to service failure, incident management etc.
- Provide high level specialist advice to residents and external stakeholders regarding the cladding remediation works, including fire risk assessments for example Fire Risk Appraisal of the External Walls (FRAEW) process and legal proceedings.
- Lead on internal communication between teams including with CEO regarding building safety matters.
- Lead on Members Enquiries and Stage 1 Complaints for cladding related issues.
- Hold full responsibility for external communication regarding cladding/building safety matters.
- Ensure residents and leaseholders remain updated on cladding related issues as per agreed communication plans and strategy.
- Ensure team members attend regular training to maintain a high level of knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills in all forms and at different levels, having the confidence to take the lead in situations which require diplomacy and political awareness.
- Contribute to several internal and external strategic and cross-departments working groups, including the Building Safety Task and Finish Group and Cladding - Resident Engagement Subgroup, as required.
