NFU Energy has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced energy services specialist, with hands on experience of energy trading and procurement, along side a knowledge of renewable energy and compliance services, to lead, motivate, and inspire our colleagues to reach their potential and grow our presence within farming and agriculture, as well as expanding into new industrial sectors.

NFU Energy is one of the UK's leading energy consultancies.
We work very closely with farmers and growers as well as industry organisations, government departments, utility companies and manufacturers, to provide expert energy advice and practical support to reduce energy costs through efficiency, generation and compliance with UK energy schemes.
**About the role**

The Energy Services Director will be an NFU Energy Board member with accountability for the leadership, performance, management, and development of the Energy Services Directorate.

**Responsibilities will include**:
Strategic development - working closely with fellow directors to set the vision and strategy for NFU Energy and lead the development and implementation of the business strategy for the Energy Services Directorate.

Commercial development and industry expertise - awareness of any current and anticipated industry opportunities and challenges that are likely to affect the commercial viability of the products and services we provide.

Collaborative working - working with the Sales & Marketing Director to maintain a strong portfolio of services and solutions that will support our existing customer base and enable our entry into new markets.
People management - ensuring a collaborative approach is nurtured across all teams, developing strong working relationships with colleagues within our business and within the wider National Farmers Union (NFU).
**Who we are looking for**:
You will have extensive experience in the UK Energy Industry, particularly with energy trading and procurement, with an awareness of energy related compliance schemes to further support our technical consultancy services.

You will have a pragmatic, can do attitude with strong demonstrable leadership skills and a proven commercial aptitude.

You will be able to demonstrate innovative thinking and vision and have the ability to provide support to all technical areas of the business to overcome problems and address opportunities.
