Grounds Maintenance

Join our team at Life for a Life Memorial Forests as we seek a temporary Grounds Maintenance and Woodland Operative to support our seasonal upkeep tasks across our North England planting sites. You'll be responsible for a variety of maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, tree planting, and other general upkeep activities on a 3-day rotation within a 7-day week.

Some other main duties include:

- Maintaining pathways, car parks, planters, and other features
- Pruning and trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges
- Implementing weed control through digging out and chemical methods
- Performing external ground cleaning tasks
- Adhering to all safety protocols when operating motorized equipment

We value individuals who can work independently, prioritise quality and efficiency, and adhere to health and safety standards. Being adaptable to outdoor work in all weather conditions and occasional weekend shifts is necessary. Additionally, effective communication and teamwork skills are key as you'll be interacting with the public.

This position offers a 4 to 6-month contract starting in late spring/early summer.
